Musu Kasu

King of Stone and Wind Musu Kasu

An immense Oni Lord, Musu Kasu is fully three storeys tall. Appearing to be carved from grey rock, he is known as "The King of Stone and Wind."   Although he ordinarily has only two arms, when he casts spells three additional pairs of ghostly arms emerge from his sides. These arms are used to form hand-seals, the shapes which control and direct magical energy.   Armed with an immense spiked bronze tetsubo, or war-club, he is bound into the service of the master of Korgawa Academy, required to test all those who seek to study at the academy. Standing upon the Wind Bridge, he bars aspirants from entry; only those who can fight their way past him are considered worthy of petitioning to become students. Those who fail, die, and their souls are captured by the chain-wrapped pagoda-style cage-basket he carries on one shoulder. Calling it his 'House of Souls', it holds the spirits of those who fell in battle against him. Their ghostly arms reach out for help, and their faces are visible in its depths.
