Waset

Waset is a village of a few hundred people located at an oasis a day's travel away from Ka-Tepi. Situated on a Sandvoyagers Guild trade route, it is fairly well supplied by the caravans that stop to rest and refill their waterskins.
The village is at the base of a rock outcropping resembling a small mountain. Recently, a minor earthquake shook down a rock facade on the side of the hill, revealing a small tomb entrance and a larger one. Cautiously entering the smaller tomb, the villagers discovered a fortune of gold within. What they did not know was that the evil mummy lord Tzentak had cast a Pharaoh's Curse on it. When they removed some, the curse took effect and the villagers began to wither and die before turning into sand.
A passing party of adventurers heard their pleas for aid and ventured into the Tomb of Tzentak. Scouring it, they defeated the mummy lord's undead servants before venturing to the lower level of the tomb vault and defeating the undead pharaoh in turn, lifting the curse.
