Alchemy
Alchemy is the art and science of taking naturally occurring substances (plants, minerals, or animal parts) and blending them through specific processes to cause alchemical changes to occur.
The resulting substance is a material, object or potion that is desired.
Alchemists are frequently Wizards or Sages, but do not have to be. Due to the dangerous nature of the work, a high intelligence is recommended.
Alchemists can make many different substances, but the most common are potions of healing, and the Skystone Activator, used to cause skystone to float.
Testing a potion or poison
An Alchemist can utilize their alchemist’s tools to identify a potion or poison. (DC 10-25, depending on rarity). This is recommended because taking unknown potions can be hazardous. The Test uses a minute amount of the potion, and does not affect dosage. The Test takes 1d8 minutes to complete. Identifying without setting up your alchemist gear increases the DC by 10, but is faster. Many towns have alchemists who can identify a potion or poison for you for a small fee, usually 2-5 gold.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
