Crystal Spire

The Spire is an immense crystal structure around which all the isles rotate. It extends from the highest Region of Air down through all of the other regions and grazes the Region of Void.
Wizards and Academics believe the Spire was created by Allanna when she was trying to save the world from Nefrius, at the same time that she created skystone that allows the Isles to float.
Attached near the top of the Spire is the Sun. The Sun is an incredibly luminescent Promontory that brightens the day during the Enlightening. It is written that there used to be a "Sun", a glowing ball that wandered across the sky like an errant isle, and that it passed beyond sight, creating the Darkfall.
