Geography

The Iron Isles consist of several small Isles (or Atolls) which have been pulled together and fastened with thick iron chains to form a much larger isle.

At their center is an immense mountain range, remnants from the Pre-Sundering Iron Mountains. Deep inside the mountains lie the cavernous home of the Iron Dwarves. The Dwarves are the only race who have used a process to move Isles or Atolls, creating a larger Isle from several small atolls that orbited their mountain.

Fauna & Flora

The Dwarves herd Giant Molerats, creatures of enormous size well adapted to their tunnels. They use them as mounts, beasts of burden, and eat their delicious meat.
In addition, within deep grottos inside the Isle, the Iron Dwarves grow glowing lichen and dark mushrooms, and make delicious stews and brews with them.

Natural Resources

Little is known about what lies in the depths of the Iron Isles, but as their name suggests, there must be large stocks of iron ore. Also, the dwarves trade almost exclusively in iron and iron or steel weapons and armor.
