Swinging Bridges

The "Swinging Bridges" of Baramore are a type of suspension bridge made from thick coiled support rope and thick wooden slats.

The support ropes are pulled across the gap between Isle and Atoll by a lead rope, which itself is launched across the gap tied to a large ballista bolt. Once both support ropes are in place, daredevil bridge builders go out, placing slats and crafting the rope rails.

The first Swinging Bridge was constructed between Baramore and Southspire in 42 N.E.
