Abandoned Alien Spacecraft

It occasionally boggles me that there are some people on this planet who don't know that aliens are real, but there are also still some people who deny the existence of superpowers and there are literally thousands of people on this planet who have them. Of course, most people probably haven't found remnants of alien spaceships and run extensive tests on it.   A/n: A fact that could be easily fixed if someone just gave over her scientific discoveries to the public like she said she would. I suppose that one's on me for not imposing a timeline on that particular promise.   The ship itself is nonfunctional as an object that can fly. As a source for a black box and immense knowledge about an alien technology, it's useful. As a source of mystery and not being able to figure out what the damn buttons do, it also does that.   The ship is shaped roughly like a circle. Or at least, I believe the original shape of the ship before it crashed was roughly circular, with a central cockpit and an orbital engine ring that appeared to detach from the central hub and possibly landed elsewhere. The interior is entirely fried, and even figuring out how the circuits ran through the walls is possible only by finding the singed remains of pathways.   They were, presumably, quite technologically advanced if they were flying around in space like that. But for all that, their technology seems to be quite delicate and did not survive the crash all that well. Hard to say if they intended to land here and it went wrong, or if this was an entirely unintentional detour.   Dating puts it at about a hundred years old. Or perhaps two hundred. The system is inexact. My primary data comes from the black box, and analysis of that is less scientific recovery of a specific set of data points then it is my own powers providing a disjointed and alien perspective of a horrific crash, and little else.
