When experimenting, it's important to write everything down. Any little detail could lead to the ultimate breakthrough. Even the tiniest scrap of information can lead to results. And once you do find those results, you can reproduce them properly and show your peers and prove that you did in fact accomplish what you said you did.
It can also count as proof that you were involved in something horrific and deserve to go to jail. Or at least, it would, if things were fair.
The Gist of it
These are the physical records that the scientists of
Epogeos Labs kept of their experiments. It is important to note that none of their subjects were over the age of sixteen, and that only three survived.
It's difficult to gain a picture of what they were trying to accomplish from these documents. It's a lot of sparse data, cut down to the details they thought they needed, with little reflection on next steps. There's also very little iteration since most test subjects didn't survive past the first round. Or at all.
"Questionable Provenance"
Despite the fact that it's been in the care of the
Archival Wardens for years now, these documents could not be used in a court of law. There are a few reasons for this.
First, those responsible don't use their names, and most of the information is typed, so there's no proof directly tying any individuals to what happened.
Second, the documents themselves were retrieved from a partially destroyed lab, during a time where SIVIC was in turmoil, so it's unclear how many people had their hands on these before they were sealed away.
