The Crystal Citadel

     The Crystal Citadel, sometimes referred to as The Citadel, is an academy of arts created in celebration of The Unflood. It is located on the South-East corner of Joban and is ~250 meters tall. At full capacity it houses over 3,000 students, faculty, and auxiliary workers. It has 50 stories above ground housing various amphitheaters, studios, and classrooms, and an unknown amount of subterranean spaces.      Later during The Gold Wars, The Citadel was rumored to house secret laboratories used to develop war machines for the war effort, under the protection neutrality that the university offered. These rumors were never confirmed.      The construction of The Citadel took seven years in total, with partial opening of the university occurring three years in. It was constructed by hollowing out a massive quartz shard discovered during The Damnation, after it was buried partially into the island during The Unflood. The project was rumored to nearly bankrupt The Southern Isles during their infant stages as a government, but its completion was a landmark in the reformation of the islands.
