He grew up in the Forgotten Realm. His father trained him day and night to become the perfect paladin. On the day he went to choose a God to give an oath to, he ran away. He did not wish to be a paladin, but instead a florist. He loved on the street doing cheap labor for 4 years until he finally had enough to buy his own shop. A few months into owning the shop, he found a small elven girl outside huddled under the canopy of the shop front. He invited her inside and gave her a some food and water. They chatted for a while and he found out she ran away from her family due to abuse. He invited her to live with him for now on. 5 years pass and Oriz went on a trip to the mountains to find a certain flower a customer was requesting. Upon his return, he found his shop ransacked. And his new daughter missing. In a rage and a fit of grief, he tore the pillars down supporting the shop, and it came crashing down. Afterward, he sold everything he had and went to give an oath to a god, finishing his paladin training. In his grief, he chose the God of strength at arms Dol Dorn. He since then has been searching for his adopted daughter.
