Species: Elven

The Elven people, or Elf for short, are an ancient race of humanoids who have inhabited the world for longer than any of the other sentient races. They can live extremely long lives which are only made longer by their mastery of mysterious magic.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Elves are very tall, with pale skin. Bipedal with two arms and two legs.

Genetics and Reproduction

Elven people reach sexual maturity around the age of 20. Once an elf reaches this age they can have a couple of children each decade for the next 200 years.

Growth Rate & Stages

Elven people reach physical maturity in around 20 years. They can expect to live for 300 years, although some elfs can live for 1000 years in ideal conditions. During the course of their life time, the elfs hardly age physically from the time they reach physical maturity. This makes guessing the age of an Elf very difficult.

Ecology and Habitats

The ideal habitat for an Elf is a hot and humid land with bountiful vegetation. This is what it is like in the Elves native land of Na'Hal

Dietary Needs and Habits

Elven People mainly eat fruit and vegetables, although they can also eat meat. They do not eat meat as much as fruit and vegetables because of the bountiful habitat that they come from which has plenty fruit and vegetables growing naturally.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Distributed all over the world, although they tend to be found far more often in warmer and more humid climates.

Average Intelligence

Elves on average are very intelligent. They can solve problems very quickly and are very perceptive.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Elves have very good sensory perception. Their sight and hearing abilities dwarf humans abilities. They have very large brains and can quickly solve problems which would leave a human scholar stumped for weeks.

Courtship Ideals

Male and female meet and court. After a while of courting, the male will ask the females family for permission to bond with the female. If accepted the male and female bond together and form a family of their own.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

The Elves view all other races as lesser than them, though the tolerate them as Elves are not as physically adept or numerous as the other races. Elves instead use the other races as a means to progress towards their goals faster through labour, trade, and magical research.

There are Elven People all over the globe. They are not as abundant as humans, this is due to their long life spans and lengthy reproduction cycle.
