Species: Jerroms

Jerroms are a sentient species which resemble mice standing on two legs.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Jerroms have are a bipedal species which have two arms and two legs. They have a long snout, beady little eyes and two large ears which are front-facing.   They have very fine fur which can be brown, black, white, or grey. In rare cases Jerrom can be born with red fur. To the Jerrom red fur symbolises someone of great fury. Meaning they are skilled warriors.

Genetics and Reproduction

Jerroms can reproduce rapidly. With litter sizes as large as 8 and a gestation period of just 4 months, Jerroms can populate areas in short spaces of time.

Growth Rate & Stages

Jerroms reach full maturity in just 14 years. After this, the Jerrom can live as a healthy and capable adult for another 30 - 35 years. In the Jerrom's later life its fur becomes dull, its eyesight and hearing fade. When this happens the Jerrom typically only has about 10 years left to live.

Ecology and Habitats

Jerrom are adaptable and hardy. They can live just about anywhere with reliable sources of food.

Dietary Needs and Habits

The Jerrom will eat anything. Before they became civilized, they were scavengers. Meat, fruit, vegetables, even other Jerrom - they will truly eat anything.

Average Intelligence

What Jerrom lack in strength, they more than make up in intelligence. Jerrom are very intelligent. Often they fool the brash and arrogant humans to make some quick gold, or to get some food.

Jerroms have incredible hearing, good low light vision. They can move around very nimbly and quietly.
