Malar

Malar is the talian god of death and is believed to give all honorable dead humans a place by his side. He hates all undead beings, helping in their destruction and guiding human souls to a peaceful afterlife. He is of little words and nearly never directly helps his followers. He isn't the main god of any town, but all gravediggers and people with dead loved ones pray to him. The first and last month of the talian calendar are dedicated to him.
The god is often pictured with a full beard and a veil covering his face. In many of the stories he also carries a bowl of fire, in which the souls of the fallen find their peace. Fighting the forces of evil and the undead, he is armed with two short swords and protected by a light armor. The Monument of the Dead near Rashor is believed by most humans to be a statue of him, built by the gods themselves.
