Bats of the Night Below
It is of note that there are no native mammals to the Night Below, however there are at least two lines of true mammals that have adapted to life underground in many ways, Rats and Rodents.
Moonsirens: These bats have evolved intricate echolocation abilities that allow them to communicate and navigate through the dark tunnels. Their calls are not only used for locating prey but also for intricate social interactions.
Crystalwings: These bats possess iridescent, bioluminescent wings that help them blend into the luminescent environments. They use their glowing wings to attract prey and mates.
Subterranean Nectarivores: Some bats might have adapted to feed on nectar from bioluminescent underground flora. Their elongated tongues and specialized digestive systems allow them to extract nutrients from nectar-rich plants.
Subterranean Fungivores: Bats specilized in feeding on fungus and spreading spores.
Cavern Phantom Bats: These bats have developed a chameleon-like ability to change the color of their fur to match their surroundings. They use this camouflage to ambush prey and avoid predators.
Silent-Wing Bat: These bats have evolved specialized wing structures that dampen the sound of their wingbeats during flight. This adaptation allows them to hunt in near silence, making them highly effective predators.
Deep Stalker The largest and most dangerous bat species of the Night Below these Flightless blood drinking predators are comaprable in size to the large predatory cats of the surface.
Umbra-Prowler Another wingless bat this one akin to a canine in its body structure, powerful and cunning pack hunters.
