Famous magical academy in Dragonspire formed in 1289, Clawhurst is the second magical academy to be founded in the capital city. Started by then headmaster Aranthol Broll, Clawhurst was formed to be a place for all aspiring magi to come and learn, no matter their wealth, status, or focus of study. All would be welcome should they pass the entrance exam and a test of latent magical ability. A complete opposite to the more famous Highbridge academy, the oldest magical academy in Sylas, which is very particular about the students it accepts.

Since its inception, Clawhurst has remained a place where all are welcome. Its teachers, library, alchemic and magical storeroom, and other offerings only walled behind students level and year of study. The longer students remain with the school, they have greater and greater access to the vast wonders the academy has to offer. Also, after a student's 4th year, students may inquire about becoming a member of the Beholders, Clawhurst's antiquity research and acquisition team. A group of powerful magi who seek out the worlds lost, forgotten, and foreboding magical relics and items.
Emblem and Colors
The owl is the proud mascot of Clawhurst academy and its emblem, a simple icon of an owl's face. The academy's colors are a forest green trimmed by a dark navy blue.
