Eigly's Cabinet of the Dearly Departed
Despite regarding himself as "no more than a city boy", the Dhalmanite Eigly Salt has an undeniable passion for nature, anatomy and the cycle of life and death that he reflects in his ever growing collection of bones, pelts, artifacts and other nature's trinkets that he slowly built up from trips, long walks, fateful encounters and donations.
A sizeable space of his small home in the City of Endure is occupied by a robust woden cabinet with glass doors filled and surrounded with innumerable pieces of various sizes and origins, some carefully tagged with name, date and providence, others piled on top of each other with origins relegated only to Eigly's memory and some hastily scrawled annotations in his notebook.
Fate had it that Eigly learned of a visit to Endure by the famed naturalist Welkinal, and managed to introduce himself. Interested in the potential scientific value of the man's collection, Welkinal requested an interview at the Eigly's house, during which the naturalist was able to sketch and take notes of many notable items in the collection, some of which are summarized below.
