He worked with many of the main contributors of The Book of the Habits and Beasts and is best known for having a bird named after him.
The Sidrar's Wader
During one of the expeditions to the Delta of Many Birds, Sidrar was left to help the cartographer Danae take measurements of one of the delta's streams when he found the nest of a bird they had not previously seen.He quickly returned to the camp to inform the naturalist Welkinal and took them to the place of the nest for them to study and illustrate the bird. The naturalist decided to name the bird Sidrar's Wader after him.
