A discipline of many faiths
All funerary work is deeply connected with one or more Laws of the Universe in the Dhalmanite religion of Autonomism, in which each of the deities acts as the patron of several trades, but is also linked to areas of interest that may interconnect with the patronage of other deities. Funerary work is considered to be under the patronage of Regicielo, the Law of Chemistry, due to her association with the cycle of life and death, and she is taken as the patron of funerary workers in general. The followers of Gleamauros, the Law of Time have worked with the devoutees of Regicielo to document and further the knowledge and technologies surrounding preservation techniques, such as with authoring the famous manual "Becoming Time: Body Preservation Methods" that is nowadays used around the Archipelago as a guide and source of information. However, taxidermy itself is under the interest and patronage of Isimoje, the Law of Dimensions, whom not only choose taxidermy as their preferred method of corpse handling to achieve their desired afterlife, but also consider this art as part of Isimoje themselves and therefore specialize in this trade.
