The Summary and Ending
The adventurers began their journey by saving the dwarves of Loch Magor from the corrupting influence of Slaanesh. Through their efforts, they not only freed the dwarves but also established a lucrative trade route, bringing wealth and prosperity to both parties.
Their next mission took them to assist the elves of Felgorn. On the way, they encountered a nest of rats, engaging them in combat and destroying their lair. Among the debris, they found an invitation to the elven city from a mysterious figure named Zeraphina.
As they continued their travels, the party stumbled upon an abandoned human town. What was once a bustling settlement now lay eerily empty. While resting there, Poe, Dr. Lime, and Warrick discovered that some of their belongings—two tinderboxes and a revolver—had been stolen, seemingly by shadows in the night. In their pursuit to recover the items, they encountered a squad of ratmen marching toward the elven city. Dr. Lime, always quick to act, attacked the ratmen before any dialogue could take place. Though they managed to defeat the small army, the general escaped, raising the alarm.
Once in the elven city, the adventurers secured a meeting with the elven council to discuss a new trade route, with an appointment scheduled for the next day at noon. Meanwhile, Spitra began preaching the word of Slaanesh, successfully recruiting a sizable group of followers. Poe, Dr. Lime, and Warrick, after purchasing invisibility potions, ventured into the sewers. After seeing a friendly rat named Billy was seen running down into the sewers. In the sewers, they stumbled upon a bustling market where rats and elves coexisted in harmony. They discovered a shrine to the Horned Rat and an archive of messages sent by the rat runners. As they ventured deeper, they encountered a locked door guarded by two rats. Without hesitation, Poe and Warrick cut them down and opened the door, finding two imprisoned elves who had been held captive for some time. Freeing the prisoners, the group made their escape, helped by friendly rats who showed them the way out.
Later that night, Spitra tasked Warrick with retrieving the Tear of the Innocents from an alchemist’s shop. Using his stealth skills, Warrick snuck into the shop where the alchemist was on the verge of creating an antidote for the tears. Just as the cure was finished, Warrick assassinated the alchemist and rigged his lab to explode, destroying the evidence and killing the elves sleeping above in the ensuing fire.
The next morning, the group awoke to worsening weather. Lightning repeatedly struck the same spot outside town. Investigating, they found an army of Sigmar worshippers gathering to purge the vermin from the city. Not wanting to engage in a fight with them, the party rushed back to town and gathered both the elven council and Spitra’s cult followers. True to their nature, the adventurers stormed into the councilmembers meeting room, demanding they reveal their secrets. This brash approach failed, and the furious council demanded an explanation.
Through a tense dialogue, the adventurers revealed that Zeraphina and Elanduil were not who they seemed. The council, now suspicious, Zeraphina and Elanduil saw no other way than to run, but their plan has already succeeded and they believe it was to late to stop it. Investigating further, the party discovered Zeraphina’s home and uncovered clues about her plan to bring the ratmen into the city. Her goal was to manipulate the Sigmar worshippers into annihilating the town, after which she intended to use what she learned to destroy Belmyre. With the threat to the elves too great for the party to handle directly, they convinced the elven council to send an envoy to Belmyre to negotiate.
However, after the Sigmar worshippers' attack, the elven town was reduced to ruins. When the scouts from Belmyre returned, they found nothing but rubble and no signs of life. The adventurers returned to Belmyre, waiting for new orders from the Blue Rose. Yet each day, they noticed the familiar smell of sewage and rats hanging in the air, a reminder that their troubles were far from over.
They arrived at a broken castle familiar to Spitra. There, they were confronted by Ionus, now riding a dragon. A fierce battle ensued. Spitra fought to free Poe, while Warrick and Dr. Lime focused on taking down the dragon and Ionus. The fight was brutal, and they were pushed to their limits. But after a long struggle, they finally managed to defeat Ionus.
That night, the group gathered with Arthur and Sister Celest in the dimly lit halls of the Blue Rose. The air was thick with tension, as if the weight of unspoken truths hung above them. Arthur finally spoke, his voice low and strained as he revealed Ionus’s true identity. "Ionus," he began, "wasn’t just an enemy. He was once one of the founders of Belmyre. A long time ago, we shared the same vision for this city—a place of hope, trade, and peace. But over time, his ambitions twisted. He wanted more than peace; he wanted domination. He saw Belmyre not as a sanctuary, but as a tool for conquest." Arthur paused, glancing at Sister Celest, who nodded in solemn agreement. "We tried to reason with him, but his ideas became too dangerous. He sought to use the city’s power to conquer the surrounding lands. When we cast him out, he swore revenge on us all."
The room fell silent as the weight of the revelation settled in. Sister Celest took over, her voice soft but filled with conviction. "His first attempt at vengeance was through brute force. He gathered an army of orcs and giants, intending to crush us under their might. But that plan was foiled—by you, and we thought it was over, not needing to tell you of our shame." This is when Dr.Lime realizes that his second plan was more insidious. And that he sought to corrupt the city from within by introducing the influence of Slaanesh. He hoped to watch the city destroy itself, becoming a sacrifice to the god of excess. Again, that was thwarted by the party yet again."
"And his third attempt..." Sister Celest sighed, " after scouting the region of felgorn we realise this was the most devastating. Ionus disguised himself as Zeraphina and manipulated the zealous Sigmar worshippers. He used them as a weapon, testing their ruthlessness on the elves first. It worked. When he saw how effective it was, he began smuggling rats into Belmyre, aiming to destabilize the city from within. The elves, always open-minded, were easily deceived by Ionus’s disguised promises of prosperity and alliance with the ratmen. They believed they were doing the right thing." Arthur’s hands clenched tightly as he leaned forward. "But with Ionus dead, the rats have no strong leader. Without someone inside the city pulling the strings, their foothold here is fragile." The adventurers sat in silence, processing the revelations. Their battle with Ionus had ended his reign of terror, but the damage he had caused still lingered like a shadow over Belmyre. The city had been spared from immediate ruin, but the threat of chaos and vermin remained, lurking in the shadows (yes yes), waiting for an opportunity to strike again. As the night drew on, Arthur looked at the party with a mixture of hope and weariness. "Belmyre still stands because of you. But the fight is far from over. We must remain vigilant, rebuild, and ensure that Ionus’s legacy of destruction ends here."
The adventurers nodded, knowing that their journey in Belmyre was not yet complete. They had faced a powerful foe and uncovered deep secrets, but the path ahead still held new dangers. With their resolve strengthened, they prepared to defend Belmyre from whatever darkness might come next.
The story may have reached a turning point, but the future of Belmyre—and their own—remained unwritten.

Back in Belmyre
One morning, they awoke to find a new receptionist at the Blue Rose. Poe sensed something off about her, but Warrick was convinced she was trustworthy. However, Dr. Lime, now equipped with Truesight, saw through the disguise: the receptionist was a large skeleton in plated armor. As they attempted to attack, they quickly realized they were no match for her. The figure was revealed to be Ionus, the mastermind behind all their troubles and the one who had been pretending to be Zeraphina. Ionus captured Poe and Warrick but could only take one with him. He escaped back to his hideout north of town, preparing to bring destruction to Belmyre. Spitra, using scrying magic, located Poe and the group rushed to his rescue. They arrived at a broken castle familiar to Spitra. There, they were confronted by Ionus, now riding a dragon. ----------ending—after the battle-----------
Upon their return to Belmyre after the harrowing battle with Ionus, the adventurers hurried to inform Arthur of what had transpired. As they recounted the tale, Arthur’s face turned pale, his usual composure faltering. He seemed deeply shaken, but merely told them to meet him later that evening. That night, the group gathered with Arthur and Sister Celest in the dimly lit halls of the Blue Rose.
