Everyone here started in purgatory, and when they die, they go beyond.
There is nothing here, because here is nothing. This is less of a location, and more of a state of being -- dead. Those who die in Synthacrosia are reduced to nothing more than common Soul Coins. Some say that the soul still resides in that small piece of metal, while others argue the common appearance and nature of the coins means there is no possible way it contains a unique imprint of a soul.
