Faelands
Green and bright, but utterly alien. The fae do not cherish what we cherish, nor want what we want. No need to watch your pockets here, but don't make any deals without discussing the specific terms. Many creatures, from, goblins, trolls, elves, blink dogs, and more, all call this place home. Species intermingle freely and the only thing important is honor and social rank.
Generally there are two groups of fae, the seelie, or summer fae, who represent growth and rebirth; and unseelie, or winter fae, who embody the natural decay of all things. Smaller divisions have been known to exist taking the other seasons as names, but are not taken seriously by the two true factions.
Any fairy can belong to either court, there are not any obstacles for species in the courts. The court changes with the seasons, but time is not the same here. Currently the winter court rules.
The Faelands react to what happens like a character in a story. If an evil is vanquished, the light may become brighter, sadness overwhelms someone, rain may start to pour, or even just feeling anger or hate can spawn devilish fae like redcaps or goblins.
