Kardan

Kardans are the most common species of Bugbear, most bearing dark gray to deep brown or black fur, they are by far the stealthiest of their kin, possessing the vexing ability to transform themselves, albeit for a limited time into something mundane or perhaps worst of all, taking on the likeness of the loved ones that they hunt.

  • Morph Visage (2): As an action, the kardan can take on the form of an object of a size no larger than their own size category and no smaller than one size category smaller than themselves; the object must be mundane, simple in make, and the most basic of materials used. They can remain in this form for up to an hour. Alternatively, the kardan can cast the spell Disguise Self on themselves. Either way, this ability is treated as a 1st level illusion spell and can be used once, regaining its use after taking a long rest. Intelligence is the kardans casting ability score for this ability.
