Chef

Time spent mastering the culinary arts has paid off, granting you the following benefits:

Special

  • This feat replaces Master Toolkit (Cook's Utensil's or Brewer's Supplies).

Benefit

  • You gain Proficiciency in either Cook's Utensil's or Brewer's Supplies; additionally, you gain Expertise in either Cook's Utensil's or Brewer's Supplies, which means your Proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make with your chosen tool.
  • Choose either Cook's Utensil's or Brewer's Supplies, and one ability score of your choice. When making checks with your chosen tool kit you can choose to use this Ability Score's modifier instead of the base Ability score modifier for that tool.
  • As part of a Short Rest, you can cook or prepare an invigorating feast or brew, provided you have ingredients and the appropriate tool kit on hand. You can prepare enough of this food or drink for a number of creatures equal to 4 + your Proficiency bonus. Each creature who consumes the food or drink completes the short rest in half the time, and regains a number of d8 hit points equal to their Proficiency bonus. Once you prepare a meal in this way, you cannot do so again until you finish a Long Rest.
  • With one hour of work or when you finish a long rest, you can cook a number of treats equal to your Proficiency bonus. These special treats last 8 hours after being made. A creature can use a Bonus Action to consume one of those treats to gain temporary hit points equal to 1d6 + your Proficiency bonus. These temporary hit points remain for 8 hours, or until expended.
  • You double the shelf life of any magical food that you create.
You advance in this feat at different speeds based off your class and profession.
  • As someone with 3 levels in a class relating to the craft, or with a Profession related to the craft, you advance to Journeyman at level 3, and Master at level 5.
  • If you do not meet the above requirements, you can still advance based off your combined class levels; reaching Journeyman at level 5, and Master at level 7.

Journeyman

  • Choose either Cook's Utensil's or Brewer's Supplies, you are able to utilize this tool kit in half the normal amount of time it takes to use the tool kit, for example, prepping a food token would take half of the listed time.

Master

  • Choose either Cook's Utensil's or Brewer's Supplies, you become a Master in that tool, which means your Proficiency bonus is tripled for any ability check you make with it.
