  • Ability Score Racial Traits: A hobgoblin increases their Constitution score by 2, and one other ability score of their choice by 1.
  • Type: Hobgoblin sare humanoids with the Goblinoid subtype.
  • Size: Hobgoblins are medium.
  • Speed: Hobgoblins have a base speed of 30ft.
  • Languages: You can speak, read, and write Common and Goblin.

Darkvision (x)

You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Discipline (1)

You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened.

Martial Training (1)

You gain the Martial Training feat as a bonus feat.

Saving Face (2)

Hobgoblins are careful not to show weakness in front of their allies, for fear of losing status. If you miss with an attack roll or fail an ability check or a saving throw, you can gain a bonus to the roll equal to the number of allies you can see within 30 feet of you (maximum bonus of +5). Once you use this trait, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Sneaky (1)

You gain proficiency in the Stealth skill.

Dar'Kaar

The dar'kaar or Legion of War in the goblin tongue, are those hobgoblins who have been born under omens of war and bloodshed. The dar'kaar are the most common species of hobgoblin, most bearing large, fanciful horns, muscular bodies that emphasize the harsh birth that gave them life. Their skin is often dull light greys or greens to deep green or black, hair tones range from white to shades of red and black, while their eyes are pure black.
  • Ability Score Racial Traits: One ability score of your choice, other than Constitution, is increased by 1.
  • Battle-Hardened (1): Your hit point maximum increases by 1, and it increases by 1 every time you gain a level.

Tor'Kaar

The tor'kaar or Legion of Study in the goblin tongue, are those hobgoblins who have been born under omens not of war, but of magic and truth. The tor'kaar are rare, and unlike their Dar'Kaar cousins, their horns are often small and rarely decorated, though their bodies still hold the chiseled physique of their people. Their skin is often dull light greys or greens to deep green or black, hair tones range from white to shades of red and black or blue, while their eyes are pure black, purple, or white.
  • Ability Score Racial Traits: One ability score of your choice, other than Constitution, is increased by 1.
  • Determined Focus (1): You gain proficiency in one skill or tool-kit of your choice.
