Martial Training

Benefit

  • You have a number of proficiency points equal to double your Proficiency Bonus. You can spend Proficiency points to gain proficiency in arms, armor, or siege engines. A single simple weapon costs 1 Proficiency point, a single martial weapon costs 2 Proficiency points, a single Siege engine costs 3 proficiency points, light armor costs 2 proficiency point, medium armor costs 3 proficiency points and you must be proficient in light armor, heavy armor costs 4 proficiency points and you must be proficient in medium armor, shields cost 2 proficiency points. Whenever your proficiency bonus would increase, you would likewise gain an increase in Proficiency points, and may adjust what equipment you are proficient in as if you had just gained this feat. Armor proficiencies have their point cost lowered by 1 for each level of Proficiency you have already attained. For example, if you are proficient in Light armor when you take this feat, medium armor proficiency would cost 2 points, purchasing medium armor proficiency for 2 points would then reduce the cost of heavy armor to 2 points (-1 for light armor and -1 for medium armor proficiency).

You can spend extra Proficiency points to boost your proficiency with your equipment, as given below:
