Vetachi Species in Syrik | World Anvil

Vetachi

The vetachi are a cursed people, children of the furies, they are bound to emotions, forced to feed from raw emotional energy they are often seen as omens of death or worse, and because of this often live a solitary life. Though their kind have split forth from their ancestors, much of their ancestral bonds still remain, giving them strength, yes, but also cursing them with the same fate as their forebears. Vetachi's come in many forms, yet all seem to carry with them the same rhythmic energy that their ancestors held, able to call upon their vetachi song to bewilder, ensnare, and devour those that hear it.   Vetachi are often human-like in appearance, with strange features shifting their shape depending on their sub-ancestry; all vetachi have large, snake-like eyes, while the harpies have feathered wings, the sirens have webbed hands and feet with an oft-blue or green tinged hue to their skin, and the gorgons have hair of living snakes that coil and writhe around.
