Sil'ny
Basic Information
Anatomy
The Sil'ny are similar in nature to the wild bears of the Enthar Empire. Covered in a thick layer of grey and white fur, they naturally camouflage with the surrounding icy terrain around them. Weighing in on average at about 500kg, the Sil'ny can first be differentiated from their northern relatives by their longer necks. Their necks make up approximately one-quarter of their overall body length, which on average totals between 3-4 metres.
Genetics and Reproduction
The Sil'ny typically give birth to either one or two cubs, although the occasional triplets have been observed. Given the Sil'ny have only been recorded in groups with one adult and cubs, or a lone Sil'ny adult, how they find mates in order to reproduce is unknown. It seems unlikely the Sil'ny, which seem mammalian in nature, could undergo parthenogenesis and produce offspring without fertilization, however, currently there is no recorded evidence to suggest an alternative solution.
Ecology and Habitats
The Sil'ny, also known as Ice Bears, locomote both bipedally and quadrupedally. Typically travelling the surface of the Ice Shock lower to the ground and on all fours, and switch to a bipedal technique in the narrower underground tunnels where they make their dens. While the Sil'ny can tolerate cool temperatures rather well, their cubs take approximately 6 months to develop the thick fur lining required to protect them from the surface storms. They are kept in the warmer underground cave systems until they can survive on the surface.
Dietary Needs and Habits
In order to travel over the inhospitable landscape of The Ice Shock, the Sil'ny don't require large amounts of sustenance to survive. Preferential carnivores, the Sil'ny can survive for close to two weeks if they consume 1/10 of their body weight in protein. However, they can survive on Prokk, and it has been observed that the toxic nature doesn't seem to affect the large bears. Consumption of Prokk can only sustain a Sil'ny for about half as long as meat, fresh or otherwise, the Sil'ny can hunt when they need to, or scavenge off the leftovers of others.

The sounds so official. I really like the various "scientific" terms you used to describe them. It might seem like nothing, but it makes the entire article have more weight to it. Lovely all around.
<3 Thank youuu. I'm glad it reads nicely, I was hoping the "point" wasn't going to get lost between the terminology.
