Curse lifter
The curse lifter is currently the only known cure to the curse, but unfortunately, it is not foolproof yet.
The curse lifter can currently be found in the deepest trenches of the oceans. Because accessing it extremely difficult and so far, only the relatives of the calamor people, the deep calamor can dive to those depths, the Calamor Empire currently has a monopoly over the curse lifter. Its function and its scarcity make the curse lifter an exceedingly pricy medicine. The limited supply is also affected by the rare occasions when the deep calamor is willing to trade with the calamor dealers.
The curse lifter is one of those plants that can live in such depth. The calamor scholars do not know how those plants could live in such deep waters because the trenches appeared during the Rending, and there was not enough time since the cataclysm to evolve. They suspect the curse affects the plant itself, which somehow makes it ideal for combating it. Because there is no light where the plant lives, it is thought that it is feeding on the dead meat of corpses sinking from above. How they reproduce is also a mystery. Unfortunately, the deep calamor is not very forthcoming with any information. Probably they do not know it either or do not care.
The menders and scholars agree that it does not matter how you take the curse lifter. It is effective in every way you can think of. You can create a tincture, a salve, a potion, inhale it, or simply eat it. The plant will work. There is an indication that one method is better for a race and a different approach is better for another, but there is not enough definite proof to support those claims.
In any way, the period for how long the curse's effect is subdued is limited. Generally, one portion is enough for a month and should not be a significant portion. One leaf is enough for a person for a year, but still, it is not a final solution, and scholars worldwide are working tirelessly to make it a better or even the final solution to combat the curse.
We will not rest until we find the cure
