Shifters

Shifters in the Empire A nomadic race the exact number of Shifters are unknown.  A large portion of them can be found in isolated dwellings in the Western Fields.  A few are known to reside in a section of Airedale, but most go where the wind takes them.  Shifter's sometimes gather in herds and go for hunts past the Great Wall.  Sometimes they come back with some elf ears, sometimes they take heavy losses and occasionally they do not come back at all.  That does not seem to deter them and they great pleasure in hunting down their prior subjugating masters.
