Dizzy

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Dizzy is muscular with wide shoulders and hips, looking like she actually moves steel beams for a living or something. She has proven to be a strong and hardy individual in the past, with sharp perception and relatively quick reflexes. She has weight on her lower half that seems far more stubborn than anything on her upper body.

Body Features

Dizzy's back has a massive tattoo spanning it of the draconic Goddess Hlal, doing some sort of hand gestures and looking smug among things representative of her church. She also has Hlal's book-like holy symbol tattooed on the underside of her tongue and claims she got that one first because she had to keep her choice in preferred Deities secret for a time.

Facial Features

While she's thick lashed and full lipped Dizzy otherwise has a fairly masculine face that is softened by the hair that falls in all around it. Her jawline is strong, cheeks blocky, and her nose is a bit large.

Identifying Characteristics

  • Dizzy has copious amounts of freckles that are varied and blotchy in coloration, covering her entire face as well as her shoulders, back and neck. This persists on both her tan and less exposed skin.
  • Dizzy's hair has immense natural volume and is very brightly colored. Her body hair seems to be this same color and a growth pattern that suggests she might have a dwarven ancestor a bit up the line.
  • She doesn't seem to take enough precaution for working with certain tools so her arms and lower legs are peppered with different sorts of scars.
  • She smells like shampoo and cigarette smoke, which is better than just sweaty human lady I guess.

Special abilities

Dizzy can pull off a hell of an intimidating  S C A R Y  S M I L E  when mad.

Apparel & Accessories

  • Dizzy's welding mask has scratch-and-sniff stickers on the inside. They seem like there are often new ones put in over the old ones, and they quickly get a lot of love.
  • Steel toe boots, thick gloves and versatile tool pouches are as normal wear even outside of her workshop, not that she leaves it often.
  • It is pretty rare to see her without a lit cigarette, or at least a pack and a waiting blow torch to light whichever one she pulls.

Personal history

While Dizzy seems to be somewhat of a social butterfly by necessity she's actually a fairly private person when it comes to her past. So far about all the party has learned is she was an orphan raised in a dragonborn clan, she has a half-orc brother, and that at some point in her more rebellious younger years she turned to the clergy of Hlal for guidance.

Pansexual aromantic. Dizzy is very open about her broad tastes but is also firm that she's only ever in it for the fun, which can be alienating whiplash for many of her peers who might be interested, such as Wheeler.

Education

Dizzy has never discussed her education but she seems to be a deep well of information on a variety of subjects, as well as able to use lab equipment proficiently. Despite the fact it seems she may have been a troubled youth it is likely she did have some form of higher schooling.

Employment

Dizzy is one of the few people at the base who lives there around the clock and is dedicated wholly to the cause all hours of the day. Many treat her like a fourth to compliment the Big 3, but this is unofficial.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Many of the enchantments and items Dizzy has invented are nothing short of magical marvels. Her bolt charms are definitely her most complicated piece of work and the most useful to the cause. Her works are not infallible- in fact when they go wrong it can be pretty catastrophic- but they are still impressive.   Whatever cleric abilities she has also seem to be well wielded, as displayed by her ability to literally grab a poltergeist by the tail.

Intellectual Characteristics

Dizzy is a workaholic to the extent that she seems to maintain a poor sleep schedule. She also isn't great about eating, to the point it is disordered. The moment she isn't working she gets antsy and even irritable. If there is a specific root to these traits has not been explored.

Morality & Philosophy

Dizzy has a good heart and she expects the same of others. She can be aggressive or even rude but she's never actually malicious, and in the end is ultimately forgiving of a lot of things. She has more patience than it might originally appear but doesn't seem to be against keeping a grudge once it goes far enough to feel earned.   She worships multiple Deities but follows Hlal's tenants the most closely as a guiding philosophy.

Taboos

Multi-Deity clerics are almost unheard of let alone Multi-Pantheon. She doesn't keep her list of Deities out on display so who's to say how long it even is, but Hlal is at the top, and she is a controversial subject when it comes to human worshippers.

Vices & Personality flaws

Dizzy is addicted to nicotine and smokes almost constantly. The habit hasn't caught up with her yet, but with her approaching middle-aged that can't last forever.

Personality Quirks

Dizzy is as close to shameless as it gets. It's difficult to make her listen to scolding over her poor behavior or self care such as her constant forgetting meals, and it's basically just a matter of time before a new recruit walks in on her at some percentage of naked and unphased, perhaps because she grew up with dragonborn. She is shy about her singing though, despite word being that it's pretty good.

Contacts & Relations

  • The Party: She took a shine to the party fairly quickly and seems to think of them as capable people over all. She sees a lot of potential in them.
  • Penny: Basically the moment these two met they seemed to establish some sort of mutual respect. This combined with how kids just seem to like Dizzy in general means they seem close.
  • The Big 3: All of them seem to trust Dizzy's judgement. If she has a bad feeling about something or someone they are likely to want it out of the base on the ASAP.
  • Wheeler: These two could be considered best friends! Wheeler knows more about Dizzy than anyone else in the base and Dizzy cuts her a lot of slack. Dizzy has also turned downed Wheeler's desire to take their friendship further several times, but it seems to be a case of the two of them just knowing what they like so it hasn't hurt anything.
  • Flea: He fusses over her since food is his biggest concern and getting it in to her is even harder than trying to help Tinley with his binge eating. She gets a bit combative with him but knows he does it because he cares.
  • Oum: She liked Oum. He'd gotten a bum deal from a shitty Goddess that screwed his heart over. She made it an unspoken personal mission to make him open up and let people in. Step 1: sleeping with him??? Then he left, leaving the responsibility to deliver the news to the party up to Dizzy, and she has had 10 ways to be mad at him ever since.
  • Rascal: Dizzy seemed to be familiar with Rascal from before she was brought to the base, and she had a hell of a stink-eye for her even though Rascal had clearly been through hell and as far as Dizzy could tell she was just some early 20-something. It seems like she was one of the few people to earn a grudge from her.

Cleric of Hlal and many others, though Hlal is seemingly the apple of her eye.

Social Aptitude

Dizzy has an unstoppable force of personality that she wields like a bulldozer when it suits her. That said she can get worn out fairly quickly and seeks frequent periods of solitude to quickly recharge. She seems to be exceptionally good with children and has clicked best with other base residents who are some brand of weird. Is it possible to bully Dizzy?? Probably not. Maybe don't try.

Mannerisms

She prefers to be doing something with her hands for as much of any given conversation as possible.

Hobbies & Pets

While Comet isn't a pet Dizzy does seem to be caring for the little bugger whenever they're not foisting themself upon Rook.

Wealth & Financial state

Dizzy often complains about the cost of certain components to do the enchantments and item creation that she does, so it is possible she pays for these things out of pocket. If that takes all her income or if she has any other wealth at all is unknown since she seems content to make due with what the junkdogs bring in.

An inventor, enchanter, and multi-god, multi-pantheon cleric, Dizzy is a woman of many skills and invaluable to the Copper Fangs even beyond the Central Capital's chapter. She's strange, but charming in her rough-around-the-edges shameless way.
