Proto Phoenix

A critically endangered species with a single known population near the peak of Gruumsh's Fall, threatened mainly by the pet trade and trophy hunting. With the slow maturation of individuals and the 1:1 pair ratio lonely Proto Phoenix have been pairing with Rocs thanks to the lack. The resulting hybrids are out-competing their parent species. They nest exclusively in the gnarled trees known as Dead God's Fingers which only grow at a specific elevation. They are preyed upon by young Pyromic Bulettes as fledglings but once a Proto Phoenix has fledged they have no known natural predators.
