Katalonia

For most of history this continent was left to its barbarianism. The elves deemed it an invaluable conquest at best. In the year 3,892T.A Athulas was born to a large dragon with 12 legs. Deprexomos was a revered black dragon that in his lifetime killed off most of the rival dragons of the world and settled to conquer Katalonia. He met a few mates here and even spread a race of dragonborn that now serve as his main army. Athulas was but a wyrmling cast aside in favor of other larger brothers and sisters. He read scrolls and books of magic in those years. In 3,798T.A his family was slain by a great Nuemolven hunter and his followers. Athulas had been out on task for his father to destroy a village as a message. Athulas was enraged as he had sworn to prove himself to his father before he died of old age. Athulas gathered many dragonborn followers who started a cult in his name around Katalonia. The cult also worshipped many evil gods per Athulas beliefs. Many beastfolk joined out of opportunity.

By the year 42T.A. Athulas was a great wyrm of ancient age. His cult had turned to a hoard of fanatics. They began constructing longships and raiding. In 22T.A. Athulas had heard of the great dwarven treasures and went himself for the first time to retrieve it. The people of Ungmvar stood no chance. The halls were desecrated and looted. Several Beastfolk stayed here drawn to the landscapes.

Katalonia is now once again a barbaric landmass. Clans of beastfolk have banded together revoking the cults. Those that worship Athulas murder and spread lies. Famine and disease has spread.
