City Dwarves
City Dwarves (sometimes known as "Gold Dwarves") are members of the Dwarven race who've permanently settled within the cities of other peoples and nations beyond their ancestral homeland of Durfaehn. While keeping many of the cultural traits that have defined the Dwarves for generations, their proximity to the cultures and ideals of the various other peoples they share their city homes with have given the City Dwarves a far more varied cultural identity compared to their cousins living within Durfaehn. Thanks to their industrious nature, as well as their skill ing jewel cutting and smithing, City Dwarves are a welcomed sight among the various cities of Taeva.

Culture and cultural heritage
Among the various Dwarven subgroups of Taeva, City Dwarves are well known for their deep appreciation of art and craftsmanship. While City Dwarves are just as skilled in metalsmithing as most other Dwarves, they've also shown great talent at jewel cutting and goldsmithing, both for artistic and mercantile purposes. It's thanks to these skills that the City Dwarves would become renowned for producing some of the finest works of Dwarven art, as well as for their skill as merchants, overseeing many of the trade deals between Durfaehn and the Human kingdoms.
Additionally, due to living in such a wide diaspora, City Dwarves have one of the most varied and diverse cultures among the Dwarves. While they maintain a number of common Dwarven cultural traits (like their appreciation for hard work and honesty), the City Dwarves have also adopted a number of cultural trait from the peoples they share their home cities with. Because of this, there exist a number of variations among the City Dwarf culture native to their particular region, with no two being completely alike.
