Grandmaster

Among the knightly order known as the Wardens of the Radiant Shield, no other title commands as much respect as that of Grandmaster. As the leader of the Wardens, it's the Grandmasters duty to oversee the numerous affairs of their order, including managing their various chapters, overseeing the promotion of new Chapter Masters, and representing the Wardens in major interactions with other factions.

Qualifications

In order to be considered for promotion to the rank of Grandmaster, one must have served as a Chapter Master for a minimum of 5 years, and shown an exemplary dedication to the orders ideals and goals.

Requirements

Only Chapter Masters may be promoted to the rank of Grandmaster.

Appointment

When a new Grandmaster is appointed, it's during a ceremony overseen by the other Chapter Masters of the Wardens, the High Radiant of the Church of the Radiant Saints, and the previous Grandmaster if they're still alive.

Duties

It is the duty of the Grandmaster to serve as the embodiment of the Wardens' ideals, and to provide guidance to their order in achieving their goals.

Responsibilities

The Grandmaster is responsible for overseeing the Wardens and their numerous chapters, including promoting new Chapter Masters, and representing the Wardens in major interactions with other factions, mainly the Radiant Church and other human kingdoms.

Benefits

The Grandmaster has full access to the resources of the Wardens, as well as the support of the Radiant Church and the human kingdoms.

Accoutrements & Equipment

The Grandmaster is identified by the slightly ornate armour they wear, with a white tabard emblazoned with the symbol of the Wardens on the front.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

A Grandmaster can be forced to step down if they've been found to have betrayed the ideals of their order.

Cultural Significance

The title of Grandmaster is highly respeced by knights throughout Imera, both within the Wardens and without, who consider them to be the pinnacle of the chivalric ideals they strive to uphold.
