Greyhold
Located at the base of Greypeak (a mountain within the Cenliath Mountains), Greyhold is the capital of the kingdom of Ulfgard. Originally established as a military fortification, the lands around the original castle have since expanded into a bustling city, the largest human settlement in the north in fact. Thanks to the trade the city does with the nearby Dwarf nation of Durfaehn, as well as the presence of the Ulfgardian monarchy, Greyhold remains a place of great influence among the northern human settlements.
Demographics
The population of Greyhold is almost entirely made up of Humans, with the majority being of Ulfgardian descent, and the remainder being of Myrellian and Athenoran ancestry. There's also a small population of Dwarves and Orcs living within the city. Among the cities population, the most common occupations are smiths, bards, and diplomats.
Government
The city of Greyhold is governed by the current reigning Ulfgardian monarch. All taxes collected within the city are used to maintain its infrastructure, with the remainder being stored in the treasury.
Defences
The city of Greyhold is surrounded by a tall stone wall, which can be staffed with armed lookouts during times of conflict. Since the city is built on the slopes of a hill at the base of Greypeak (a mountain within the Cenliath mountain range), the defenders within the city can easily fire down at invaders.
Industry & Trade
Greyhold trades extensively with the rest of Ulfgard, as well as the nearby Dwarvish nation of Durfaehn.
Infrastructure
The city of Greyhold has a network of stone roads running throughout the city and connecting it to the other major settlements of Ulfgard, as well as a large central square where the majority of the cities businesses are located. The city is also home to the fortress of Greypeak Castle.
Assets
Greyhold has access to a large mine in the nearby mountain, as well as several trade routes connecting to the other major Ulfgardian settlements, and a large marketplace.
Points of interest
Greypeak Castle: Located at the base of Greypeak, Greypeak Castle is the home and seat of power of the monarchy of Ulfgard. It's within the walls of this castle that future monarchs are crowned, and where matters of great importance to Ulfgard are resolved.

The buildings of Greyhold are built from stone and wood, and are built in a simple yet durable style.
Geography
The area around Greyhold is surrounded by hills, with the Greypeak mountain a short walk away.
Natural Resources
Farming is done in the flatter parts of the surrounding land, stone and iron is harvested from the nearby mine, and wood is gathered from the nearby woods.
