Severing Manacles

Since the earliest days of civilisation, containing criminal mages has presented a unique challenge for law enforcement. It's these circumstances that fuelled the creation of the Severing Manacles, commonly known among the common populace as "Cold Iron Manacles" for the magic-hindering metal they're constructed from.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

Severing Manacles draw their magic-hindering properties from the Cold Iron they are constructed from, as well as the containing runes etched into them.

Manufacturing process

Severing Manacles are forged at a smithy in the same manner as any other metalic object, followed by having containing runes etched into them.

Significance

Severing Manacles are feared by many of Taevas magic users, especially those with an innate connection to magic (such as the Elves).
