Crux God of Creation

Titles -

Crux is the God of Creation, Earth, Forge, Craft, Language, and Technology. He is also called the Hex Lord, the Core Forger, and the Gem Stealer.

Appearance -

The God of Creation often takes the appearance of a large hollow green metal male Warforged with a wavy natural patterned body and red hexagonal plated armor. The face of Crux is an earthen helmet with a natural wavy "screen" as a face. This screen can take the shape of anything Crux wants and he often changes faces depending on who he is talking to.

History -

Crux was born as an Orc in the Hidden Axe Tribe at the base of Mt. Rauwtaw in Modern Day Waesha in 1312 DT. From the violent times he was born in his given name is unknown and not much is specifically known about his childhood. However, during this time the Dragon Goddess Tiamat ruled the world and often would entertain herself with the violence of the “trifling mortals”. This would often lead to her enticing certain tribes of people against each other. We do know that he grew up to be a warrior of his tribe and fought enemy armies at a very young age and was very talented and intelligent on the battlefield.
During one war, his tribe was slaughtered by a single Orc champion. The champion must have seen something in the young Orc because he would take Crux in and teach him about war and craftsmanship. Crux learned much from his time with the champion but his destiny needed pursuing. So Crux went out adventuring to investigate a certain prophecy.
“The Chrome Glutton” had let known a prophecy that would allow one Orc to save all others and clear the name of his tribe. Many Orcs from around the world went to claim this prophecy causing an even greater conflict in Waesha. Crux tried to bring peace to the other Orcs telling them to stop the fighting and try to work together to fulfill the prophecy without wasteful conflict. But, the Orcs in their pride couldn’t see eye to eye. They ripped each other apart sending Orc tribes in exile across the world.
Crux would go through many trials before he could try to do something about the prophecy. He had to slay many tribes and create many powerful war weapons against his want for peace. But he shouldered the burden of all Orcs to try to reach salvation from the prophecy. He would reach the top of Mount Luge to accept the burden of the prophecy.
Here, Crux was given the full prophecy. While the actual words of the prophecy were never recorded this is the summary: “One Orc must shoulder the burden of pain on his shoulders. Lift up the weight and cast it above the mountains. Then he must go under the mountain to find the ‘Lifting Gem’. He must bring it up and use it to lift the pain into the sky to never be seen again.”
Crux would dedicate several years to the prophecy. Convincing other Orcs to help him to try to maintain peace within the Orc tribes for this prophecy. He would use his great craftsmanship to create a great mine. With the help of the other Orcs, Crux would dig deep under the mountains searching for the “Lifting Gem”. They would break into the Underdark and search for many more years to find the great gem. Eventually finding the brilliant diamond gem that was a piece of the “The Diamond Neglector’s” horde. The Orcs heaved the Huge gem up the mine and all the way up to the top of the mountain.
They set the gleaming stone atop the great mountain waiting for the Dragon Goddess to fulfill their prophecy. But, when she came she slowly slaughtered all of the orcs on the mountain. Except for Crux, she thanked him for getting her brother’s precious gem for her. She gave him alone power as thanks and continued to insight anger and war within the Orcs.
The Orcs believed they were betrayed by Crux. They cursed him for betraying the pride of the Orcs for a Dragon Queen. But Crux was devastated, he truly believed that salvation for the warring Orcs was real. But, the Orcs used their will to curse him to sink back down to the Underdark where he would stay imprisoned for hundreds of years.
The Orc was trapped in the Underdark for around 500 hundred years. Until, Heddar, the Future Earth Dragon Champion, found him. The dragon knew the truth about the prophecy and was disgusted by his mothers actions; he wanted to right some of her wrongs. He used his power to free what was left of the Orc. His body was completely destroyed from old age and his face and name was blanked by the curse of the Orc’s shame. But his soul still continued to live on under the curse of the Orcs. Heddar and the soul of the Orc went on to make a robotic body.
Heddar had previously stolen Svidor’s “Lifting Gem” from his mother. He used its power and his own power to craft the new body out of a mold of Earth. He renamed the Orc, Crux, and helped him become a new man by washing him of his accursed sins. Crix thanked his new and first friend for helping him live again. He pleaded with the Earth Dragon to get rid of Tiamat for the betterment of the world. Cheddar would promise Crux that he and his siblings will get rid of “The Chrome Glutton” to restore peace on the mortal plane. This would lead Heddar, and his siblings, to begin their rebellion against Tiamat in a few years.
Crux then spent much of this time trying to understand his new body by going across the Ithacan Continent. He had power that he never had before: Tiamat’s Blessing, Heddar’s Blessing, and the power of the “Lifting Gem”. And he still wanted to use this power to free the Orcs from their pain. He went to what is now the Brass Empire to learn how to use a forge. There, he created a catalyst for the “Lifting Gem”, one that truly had the power to lift the Orcs out of their constant torturous war.
He went back to the mountain where the Orcs lost it all. Ascending to its peak while carrying the Huge “Lifting Gem” on his metal back. He gathered all of his will and through great struggle made it to the top while completely alone. He lifted the gem up to the sky and prayed to the Heavens, pleading with them to save the Orcs from Tiamat’s reign.

But Crux continued to believe that the gem and Heaven would grant him his wish. He sat on top of the mountain for 4 years. Then, the Heavens sent down a message. Dainslief whispered in his ear “Good Orc, you already have everything you need to save your people.” Crux looked into himself to see what power King of the Gods said was inside him. Now he could see it, the “Lifting Gem”, coursing through his soul. The Gem had cracked open revealing the Divine Authority of Creation. He could now use his power to create a world where the Orcs no longer had to suffer under Tiamat.
He gathered his will and with all his might once again. “Lifted” the pain out of all of the Orcs. He gave them the ability to think again to see peace. He told the Orcs to help him rebel against the Dragon Goddess who caused this pain upon them. And they followed their betrayed turned savior. They would secretly plot their war against Tiamat. And were ready for the 4 Dragon Champions to start their rebellion in 6 years time. Crux himself would help the rebellion he used his Divine Power to create weapons, armor, and war machines for the cause.
After Tiamat was defeated and imprisoned, Crux ascended on top of the same mountain. This mountain would be called The Nuzlak by the Orcs as an acknowledgement of Crux's trials. This mountain is a holy spot for many orcs and craftsmen in the modern day.

General - 

Crux is a naturally kind and introverted soul. While he does often spend time with the 5 Guardian Gods and was once known for his great diplomatic unification of the Orc tribes, he doesn’t get out very much. He spends most of his time on a Lawful Good minor plane he created called Kurnmechnos. In this plane he creates supreme artifacts of power, many of which have never been used or seen.
Outside of Orcs, Crx doesn’t have much of a large following. He is the least prayed to god in the Pantheon. He actually enjoys the peace of not having too much attention. However, Crux sees the writing on the wall and he knows the significance of things to come. With the Contest of Authorities underway he is trying to gain more followers in order to help protect them and the world from “The Eclipse”.
