Decaragus God of Souls

Titles -

Decaragus in his prime was the God of Souls, Ice, Wind, Giants, and Pain. After the Opening Event of the "Contest of Authorities" Decaragus lost some power and became the God of Souls, Wind, Lies, and Pain. He is also known as the "Lord of the Ravininy Dushi", which is the 2nd plane of Death. Other titles include: The Greatwyrm Slayer, The Second God of Souls, and The Shear Wind.

Appearance -

As one of the two "God of Giants" and his heritage, Decaragus takes the appearance of a Gargantuan 100 ft tall Blue Ice Giant with large holes and tunnels of shearing wind rushing around his body. He wears Bronze armor, a custom Crown made of Void Fibers, and a 100ft Long Platinum/Palipsium Halberd called "The Devastator".

History Pre-Godhood -

Decaragus was born the year 1899 DT in Rakrus village in north Axaven as a ice giant under Tiamat's rule. He grew up in the time of the 4 Great Dragon Champions Rebellion. From a young age he fought with the Dragon Champions army against the minions of Tiamat with the Giants in his clan. Where he would become the strongest and leader of the Axaven Ice Giants. By the end of the War he was considered to be the strongest Giant ever to live as he even when he was mortal he was 40 ft tall and had great control of Ice and Wind magic. During some of the final fights of the rebellion Decaragus called upon the power of the War God Lapidus and was given a Palipsium spear and "The War God's Blessing". With this power and the help of a few other giants Decaragus battled equally and eventually defeated the Blue Dragon Greatwyrm Kitril Svan.
After the defeat of Tiamat and the Rebellion's Forces went their separate ways, Decaragus changed significantly. Some old Giant records account the after witnessing the power of an Origin Goddess and the God of War he started to seek more power. He used his great influence and strength to lead the Frost Giants to obtain great magical items which he believed would give him and his giants godlike powers. He would go on to conquer many of the new fledgling nations around the north of the world. This nation would be called "The Dekar Kingdom" which at a certain time was considered to be the most power nation in the world. With this large kingdom and influence over the world Decaragus would go on a search for a artifact magic item called The Ring of Winter. He believed if he could control the power of the ring he could become a God.
Once the Giant King found the Ring of Winter in its prison in the Elemental Plane of Fire, he found out that the ring was more powerful than he thought. After just a year of having the ring he changed and became much more evil and chaotic instead of his more Lawful Neutral original personality. He became even more obsessed with power and controlling the ring but the whole time it was the ring controlling and altering him.
After a decade of possessing the ring and other nations and people of the world slowly destroying his empire Decaragus started to fear that someone might try to take the ring and his immortality. During this time the ring convinced him that he was already a god but that he was just bound to the mortal world. After a certain fight against a adventures group call the Sunlight Chasers in 43 AT, Decaragus was killed and his evil kingdom quickly dissolved.
But even after he was sent to the planes of death plane he was still alive because the Origin God of Death the "Harbinger of Forgotten" had spared his life due to a contract to an unknown person. At the same time the Giants that still lived revered Decaragus as a fallen God. This with a long conquest of region of death "Ravininy Dushi", which is the region of Death where souls wander until they slowly fade away to the final layer of death, gave Decaragus real Godhood. The way he exactly got his divinity is unknown but at least it was a combination of his many Giant followers, the Ring of Winters influence, and the powers of conquering part of the Plane of Death.

Powers -

After Decaragus became a God he was the God of Souls, Ice, and Giants. Throughout his time as a God his powers and titles have changed a few times. The first time was when he got into an argument with Venasati and he attacked her easily winning the fight behind Dainsleif's and the other Gods back. As he won the fight he ripped out the Goddess angelic wings stopping all wind on the mortal world. He would then eat her wings stealing her power of wind. When the other Gods found out they punished him by fusing a crown of void fibers to his head to keep him under constant excruciating head pain and make sure he doesn't misuse the wind.
After this incident he became God of Souls, Ice, Cold, Wind, Giants, and Pain and even though he was under permanent pain he was still very powerful and sinister with his plans.

Relations -

The God of Souls relations with the other Gods is usually quite simple, they don't like him for eating Venasati's wings. But he also doesn't care for any of those good or neutral natured Gods anyway. This is the same for the evil natured Gods as well as he usually tries to avoid them so he doesn't get mixed up in any divine conflicts because he doesn't really like any of them. The two Gods that he does have any relations with are the Origin Gods "The Forgiving Spector" and the "Harbinger of Forgotten" which rule the 1st and 4th Planes of Death respectively. With these to entities Decaragus works with them for the duty of Death and ruling the parts of the plane they are assigned. Unlike most of the other Pantheon Gods Decaragus actually likes many of the Origin Gods as he sees them as more powerful and they treat him with more respect than they do to any of the other Pantheon Gods.

General -

Decaragus believes that true powers lies within Souls after death and that with this power you can free yourself from the pain of the world. He is considered a evil God that plots for the end of the world and fearing how to make sure he still lives after it. Usually he sits and manages his kingdom in the Ravininy Dushi from his palace the "Vind Shear" in the capital city of Skogul in the 3rd Plane of Death. He commands an army of dead giants called "Ghost Giants" and the millions of wandering souls in Death.
His followers are usually in 3 groups the Giants that pray to him as King of the Giants, the people who see him as an elemental God of ice and wind, and his followers who want to find power in death and souls that live either in the mortal world or his followers in his kingdom. In terms of cleric subclasses he represents War, Nature, and Death domains.
