Lapidus is the God of War, Fate, Sea, and Storms.Appearance and Weapons -
Lapidus commonly appears as a large Human or Triton with a large muscular body with a half adamantium battle armor half white robe that is infused with his body. The God, because of his special lineage, also has two large mainly black magnificent horns with red patterns on his head. He has Cyan hair and glowing pulsating purple eyes and has a red aura surrounding him. His symbol is a crystal ball with horns that on the inside has a spear, a ham-axe, and a Lightning bolt. As the God of War, Lapidus has many weapons. His major weapons are The Palipsium Spear, The Core-Forged Hamaxe, and his summon The Lightning Bolt of Fate.The Palipsium Spear -
This spear wielded by the God of War is made out of a special magical material Palipsium. This material was made from a special person who was a descendent of an Origin God. Who spent much of its life trying to create a weapon with unlimited power. At an unknown time possibly within Tiamat's reign Lapidus descended down to see this creature's creation. The creature told the God that all the craft needed was a god's power. So Lapidus gave a small bit of his power. This power flowed into the large cauldron in the middle of a large mountain and caused the material to change, becoming this red metal with purple patterns on it. The creature named this metal Palipsium and as a gift for the God of War it crafted a spear out of the metal. The Palipsium Spear because of its material can change its shape to become any weapon or armor. It also can unleash the God of War's raw power. As it can throw out extreme amounts of force energy on command from any user. Sometimes when Lapidus sees a mortal who has impressed him he will give a bit of the spear to that person. This allows them to use the power of the Spear and the power of the God of War.The Core-Forged Hamaxe -
This ham-axe wielded by the God of Storms and Sea is made out of the core of a Sun God. When Aria ascended she became Goddess of the Sun but there was already an Origin God of the Sun, Solairvos, who was partly the manifestation of the Sun itself. This meant that Aria and Solairvos had to fight over control of the Sun. So when Lapidus first ascended he went to help Aria slay Solairvos. They succeeded and to contain the power of this great God they stuck their hands into his core, the core of the Sun, and each condensed an object to hold the power. Aria created Aphixsol, The Sun Sword, and Lapidus created the Core-Forged Hamaxe. The Core-Forged Hamaxe is basically not like Stormbreaker from Marvel in any way (wink). As it can harness the power of lightning and storms. The Hamaxe, because of its origins, also carries part of the power of “The Leaking Bowl” but Lapidus has no control over this power or when it activates.The Lightning Bolt of Fate -
This lightning bolt wielded by the God of Fate is a summon from Lapidus. This weapon was created at the end of the Fate War between the Pantheon and the Coalition of Ancients. At the end of this war Dainsleif had to split the Authorities of Time, Reason, and Fate between other Gods. The power over fate was given to Lapidus and as a manifestation of this power he created this Lightning Bolt. It is said that in war if an army hears or sees thunder or lightning they are fated to win their next battle. This is said because of the Lightning Bolt of Fate.History -
Lapidus was born as a prince on the 6th of Quinber, 3179 AO to the human king and an unknown raced mother. No one knows the race of his mother. Some legends say that she was a now extinct magical beast that had horns and controlled the wind and waves of the planes. Other legends say that she had ancestors who were horned monsters of pure destruction. Lapidus never got to know his mother, it is unknown what happened to her after she gave birth to him. Lapidus is a descendant of Aria, Goddess of Magic’s brother: Dameon. This bloodline relation to the sun goddess allowed them to inherit a kingdom they would inherit called Solaris. Lapidus would grow up as prince of Solaris. This large kingdom existed in what became the northern Black Sea of today. And it stretched all the way from the edge of modern Selemia down to the Southern District of the Blacksea to the modern Talevesh City. As a prince Lapidus showed great intelligence with a natural ability to lead. He also had an inhuman amount of strength possibly related to his special lineage. On his 18th birthday he was married to his wife, Mingyao, and crowned as King of Solaris by tradition of the kingdom. Lapidus met his wife on a diplomatic trip to the Ihiy Shogunate which existed in the two large islands off the coast of modern day Talevesh. Mingyao lived in this Shogunate and they fell in love while he was there. Lapidus during his reign developed to be a great general and soldier as he conquered many territories in modern day Talevesh. Making the Solarian kingdom to be the largest in the mortal world at that time. During his early reign Lapidus and Mingyao had quadruplet daughters: Osialia(O-see-lee-ah), Clarisa, Venessa, and Guiyun(gway-yun). With Osillia born first as heir of Solaris. When Lapidus was 29 years old (3208 AO), “The Blighted Secret” sent monsters from the shadow fell to conquer the Mortal Pearl. These monsters sneaked through the borders of the plane and hoarded over the entire world. In this time of crisis, the King of Solaris attempted to unite Tailon in order to fight against the invasion. Initially the war against the undead shadow monsters went really bad. Many places around the world were nearly completely wiped out (Dwarven kingdoms, Brass Continent, Xue, Great Bird lands). And even the strength of Lapidus’s kingdom was on the brink of destruction. In this low moment, Solaris was given a prophecy from Dainsleif (Some say it was as per Aria’s request). That foretold the victory of mortals against Etholos’s monsters only if Lapidus led the world against it. From the words of this prophecy the world was able to come together so after many long years the Shadow War became in favor of the mortals. In the final battle Lapidus used his many years of preparation to defeat the “The Blighted Secret” and win the war. As a reward for his great deeds, he was given the Divine Authority of War by Dainslief. Lapidus would accept the treasure and Ascend right after the war (he took Mingyao with him to heaven). After Lapidus Ascended however, the Solarian kingdom and the whole world was left without a leader. Before his ascension he intended for his daughters to inherit the world in his place. And he left some of the most important people of the world to help them become the world's next leaders. Unfortunately, this did not come to be, leaving Lapidus’s legacy and the Solarian bloodline on the world plane muddled and uncertain. To become God of Sea, Lapidus, according to a few legends, went on a solitary quest to find the identity of his mother. He went all over the planes to find his answers and after several years returned to heaven successful. Now one knows what he found. But, when he returned he gained the Divine Authority Sea and he created the Triton people and their pantheon of lesser gods.General -
Lapidus is known for his exceptional physical abilities as a soldier. Plus his great military mind as a general and mediator for conflict. He believes that only the strongest and most capable should lead so they can guide and protect the weak and less capable. He also has many powers and followers who are profits and can see the fate of the world but personally he does not like to use Fate as a guide for people. He only uses it to confirm his findings on the world. But many of his followers don't see it this way. His followers and clerics are usually in the War, Tempest, or (Fate) domains.
