The Kingdom of Selemia
The Great Collective Nation of The Birdfolk.
The bird folk consist of Arocokra, Owlin, Trigs, and Kenku. This nation started as a tribe of Arocokra that over many years conquered other birdfolk nations. This continued until the year 2400 when there were only two birdfolk kingdoms left, Selemia and Plastia. For many years Plastia was winning the war. So Selemia looked for help from the Kepeska the Air Champion. The Dragon heard their pleas and gave the Selemians control over Air Elementals. With this power over 250 years the Selemians fought this war called the Great Bloody Feather War (2431-2683). After the Selemians won the war, they established the great City of Skystone. Which serves as a beacon of the prosperity of the birdfolk kingdom. The reason for this war was an old birdfolk prophecy that stated that all the one tribe will survive to be the masters of Earth and Air.
The Great Bloody Feather War is one of the most major conflicts in the history of Tailon. This conflict caused major lasting economic and social changes throughout the world so many other nations big and small got involved. Every nation throughout the time of this war supported only one of the birdfolk kingdoms. The nations that chose Plastia after the war were heavily- punished and some nations fell because of this.
The people of Selemia pray to their god of earth named CanyonMaker, the Ancient Air Dragon, and other gods from the birdfolk pantheon. The kingdom has gone through much expansion in the last 200 years and has caused Selemia to become one of the most powerful nations in Tailon.
Selemia in the modern day is in a constant search for water. Which is caused by increasing population. This has led Selemia to search for water from other kingdoms. Selemia is also at war with the Farghul Empire which was originally Plastia. So the Kobolds attacked Selemia and have been in an on and off war ever since.The biggest holiday is the mating season/rain day. In which it lasts for one month and is the only time rain falls in the kingdom.
