Rams

Rams

 
It's not entirely known how Rams became the working animals of Taki Firma. One day, it was just announced through the Court of Rubies that it would not be within farming regulations to use any other animals in order to farm crops. All other animals became bred animals for eating and for any other resources they may provide (chicken for their eggs, cows and goats for their milk and leather). 
Since then, Rams were bred to become much bigger animals than they were previously. Horses all but died out, because Rams were now the size of horses, and much stronger to boot. Their horns were bred to be less pointed at the end so that people could grab on to them whilst riding, either faster or at the slow pace of troweling fields. They were bred to survive on grain and grass, with water at regular intervals during the day when the workers would need to take a break. 
The most noticeable change in rams was the change in their behaviour. Rather now instead of being aggressive and pushy, they are now relaxed, but have so much more character. Some of them are cheeky and playful, and some keep their aloofness and solidarity from many generations past. 
When they grow up, they are socialised in the fields of The Court Of Rubies  both with the workers and the elder Rams. What this allows, is for the buck to find out when is the time for playing and being adventurous, and when is the time for work. It also gets them used to being around humans, and not needing to give them an extremely wide birth or being too scared of them. 
They are now used widely across all of the courts, in every field of work, although the smallest population of Rams is most likely in The Court Of Indicolites due to the marshy nature of the land of the majority of the court. Most of the travel in the sea court is done by boat, but within the cities and getting fish off of boats, Rams come in very useful.
