Personal history

Athalos only entered the Sentinels six months before the year turned 500. He did half a year training with the Legion but was pulled out by his father, a superior member of the Sentinels and immediately put in Sentinel training. Athalos excelled in all that he did and immediately rose to the top. In a highly irregular combat and skills trial put on by his father, Athalos was pushed through within 2 months of entering the training. Instead of letting him roam about, the other leaders of the Sentinels decided to give him jurisdiction over the protection of Whitmere. They considered it a relatively easy job where he wouldn't be able to cause too much trouble.
Athalos was furious when his father told him what was happening and has been taking his rage out on the town ever since. The Guards are lax, the towns defenses are all but abandoned and Athalos rarely, if ever, gives orders to his charges.
