Atlantis

It was quite a shock in 2045 when Atlantis rose from the ocean. The tales of Atlantis span many continents and cultures and were long believed to be myth. When the island first rose, many felt that it was simply a new island that was created by magic or some natural phenomenon. They were soon proven wrong when the island was approached and found to be populated. The people who lived there spoke Latin in a dialect close enough to what we had preserved that we were able to develop communicate fairly quickly.
What we discovered was a shock to the modern world. Apparently magic had never been lost in Atlantis. It had been a decision to submerge and preserve the magic knowledge until the return of magic to the world. One of the seers at the time had predicted the return and an approximate timeline. While they did have magic, they also had developed some technologies which were suited to the aquatic that we had not. We have much to share with each other.
The Magic Circle worked to acquire a building for an office complex so that they could immerse themselves in the study of this culture and magic. They have requested access to the local colleges and technologies and have been giving limited access as an organization. There is an incredible amount of magical history, history, technology, and magi-tech to be learned and those who love to learn are dropping everything to flock to Atlantis.
Atlantis has also become a tourist destination. With the casual use of magic over technology and the novelty of it all, it is the place to visit. With no airport, it's even exotic to get to the island. Since the island floats it has to submit it's maritime chart and avoid shipping lanes. In order to get to the island you must either use magical aerial transport, because there is no airport, or an aquatic mode of transport.
