Chef Igneia is the world class chef at The Rookery cafeteria. She has a bit of a temper, but a very kind heart. She rarely leaves her kitchen because strong emotions cause her to flame and she has strong emotions often. The kitchen has been properly protected.
She is a phoenix.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Chef Igneia is a slender phoenix, a little on the short side, with sharp features, dark yellow eyes [like dark honey], and red hair which she generally keeps pulled back into a tight bun. When working she always wears a white chef's jacket and toque. Hers are spelled to be fireproof to the high temperatures phoenixes are capable of creating.
Facial Features
She has well-defined cheekbones and a nose that tends towards the beakish side. Her ears are pierced, once for each 'rebirth'.
Physical quirks
When she gets worked up, and that is often, she tends to flame along extremities. Her fingers, pointing in irritation might have a fine outline, or sometimes her hair might alight.

Personal history
Chef Ignia was born on a stormy night when the winds were whipping through the burning grounds, and lightning was striking all around. The night watch was present, as always, to welcome a new birth should it happen. She was shocked to see the child sitting in the ashes, and she dashed out to grab her and bring her into the shelter. The child, once brought in and dried, was quite small. She was also extremely quiet for a newborn. Burns, the night watch, wasn't entirely sure how to feel about her arrival. He had signed up for the duty, yes. He felt it was his duty to his race to take his year long turn on the watch and to raise any child who happened to arrive. He had been on duty for eleven months now and his time had almost past. He had already been considering what he would do after his year was up, and this small, quiet, child threw all of that into disarray.

Chef Ignia is a highly acclaimed chef with formal training at the Sorbonne and apprenticeships at numerous restaurants.

She is currently employed as executive chef for The Rookery complex.

Motivation
Chef Igneia wants to prove herself. She has been told all her life that phoenixes were incapable of controlling their flames. She was turned away from any number of kitchens because she has the famous phoenix temper and they were afraid she would burst into flame. Even though she never did, she wants to prove to the world that control is possible.
