Brightmaids

With ease she danced across the battlefield with prowess, with grace, with such a dance-like pattern; and all I could do was watch. For as powerful as she was, she was also the most beautiful creature I’d ever seen.

Brightmaids are a species of women who’ve had unicorn blood introduced into their heritage, giving them a blessing of being extraordinarily beautiful and a slight bonus to their magical abilities. They can be identified by a singular horn that grows out of the center of their forehead and, depending on the potency of the unicorn blood, will glow in their most powerful of moments. Their species also have no males in it, the creation of a Brightmaid seems to only consist of female. That isn’t to say that a male individual couldn’t have unicorn blood within them and they’ll still feel the residual gain in their power; although much more limited.
