Alice Kruptin
Alice Kruptin is the imposing proprietor of the Witch’s End Tavern. Well over 6 feet tall, she makes a point of learning the name and occupation of every visitor to her establishment, and holds great distrust for adventurers and spellcasters; the only reason the tavern is so popular with travelers is because its food is phenomenal.
Alice's father John was the previous owner of The Witch's End, and Alice has always worked at the inn. Enjoying the single life, Alice is known for occasional flings and trysts, but has never settled down with anyone. She has "adopted" three young ladies who she treats like daughters, and they help her run her inn. She expects her "daughter" Morvinnar to continue the business when she is gone, and she is satisfied that she has done well with his life. A solid citizen, Alice pays her taxes and enjoys the benefits of the government around him.
Alice tolerates no one who threatens to disturb the peace of her inn. Those who do are asked to leave, and Alice and Morvinnar act as bouncers when necessary. Both women are large and strong, often surprising unruly customers who think they can run roughshod over the women. Alice is content to operate her inn and care for her patrons, and she shares none of her passing clientele’s love for travel and the open road.
