Caleb Bartoff
A petty and ruthless minor official in the Old Quarter
Caleb is a man of exceptional girth but limited stature. His breath is foul and his teeth are crooked. His face glistens in sweat from only minor exertion and that sweat pools in the many pot mark that linger on his face from a malady at a younger age.
He often wears jewelry and furs and other finery that came to him thru the auspices of his business as a money lender and broker of other people personal possessions.
When found in public he will be accompanied by at least two paid men at arms for both his personal safety and for the air of importance he feels it lends him.
He carries with him a hand carved cudgel. It was once the prized trophy of some adventurer who ran into great debt, the bone of some enormous beast. When it landed into the hands of Caleb, he had it cut down and carved into his personal walking stick. As he wobbles thru the Old Quarter he uses it often to maintain his balance on the uneven streets as much as he uses it to point, berate and sometimes strike those who earn his disapproval.
