Copper Stein

Once known as the Stuck Ogre, the Copper Stein was purchased by the Rageborn Kurtho Brokentooth in 1365, soon after the fall of Zhengyi.     The ogre was built by Narfi, (dwarf male, age 201), who told a story of being he is one of few survivors of a small clan from the Dragonspines north of the Moonsea. His clan was mostly wiped out in a series of battles against giants and ogres in the Dragonspines. He had served the clan as a battle scout. Narfi fled to the Bloodstone Lands, eventually reaching Ironspur.     The Ogre (or Stein) is a typical dwarven wall-structure. Hollowed out from the cliff face just past the Outer Gatehouse. The main floor has a large common room and several side-chambers, as well as the kitchen and pantry. The second floor is little more than an extended shelf overlooking the common room with carved booths and walls creating many small secluded areas. The third floor is connected to the kitchens and has private rooms for Kurtho and his help.     The Ogre was the only night spot that dwarves from the clan halls visit when they came to the surface at night. The house was also popular with visiting caravan guards and crew members, prospectors and adventurers working the mountains as bounty hunters. Narfi sold the Ogre to Kurtho, who gave the Stein its current name, and departed Ironspur after the war.     The Copper Stein does rather well catering to visitors of Ironspur who would feel more welcome in an establishment that asks no questions of its patrons other than “What’ll ya have?” Local dwarves have accepted him as he keeps much of the riffraff as well as foreigners from venturing too far into the halls of Ironspur as they find his Inn more to their liking.     Locally famous for his family recipe of Orcish Boar Blood Ale, Kurtho brews it on site and keeps the ingredients a secret. The only certainty is that it most definitely contains actual fresh boar blood. An acquired taste is the general opinion.     The orcish blood runs strong in Kurtho, so much so that there are rumors that he is a full-blooded orc. Kurtho isn't saying. "All the better for my reputation."
