Seneschal, Chief Advisor Elessan

Elessan is a slim Elfmarked man who heavily favors his elven blood. He has short brown hair and green eyes. Slim by human standards he stands 6' 2" and weighs 174 lbs. He has just celebrated his hundred-thirtieth birthday, but where most Elfmarked are showing signs of old age, Elessan still maintains his vitality.
A cleric of Deneir, God of Writing, Elessan was raised in human society and has devoted his life to the study of history. He uses this knowledge to help Darmshall prosper by learning from the mistakes of the past.

Personal history

Darm's second in command is an elf cleric of Deneir. Raised by humans, Elessan's keen mind and humble nature led him to the worship of Deneir, Lord of Glyphs and Writing. A kind and gentle elf, Elessan adventured with Mascen Wildig's party, providing healing and spiritual guidance when called upon. When Mascen was given control of the village of Darmshall, Elessan became chief advisor, providing a foil to Mascen's militaristic nature, and cautioning the headstrong warrior against actions that could imperil the village.
After Mascen passed, the villagers selected Elessan to administer the settlement. Even though he was in control of Darmshall, the elf refused to name himself Castellan. He has gone by the title First Advisor for over a hundred years now.
When the Tenblades began adventuring in Vaasa and eventually settled down in Darmshall, Elessan treated them like old friends. He used his position to convince the villagers to accept the Romas as their new Castellan.
When Romas passed, Elessan worked tirelessly to get Emmanuel Darm named Castellan. When the Mistmaster showed up requesting that Darm help him with an important quest, Elessan strongly advised Darm to take up the quest, saying that it was necessary for Darmshall. This despite the fact that the Advisor had never even previously met the Mistmaster.
Since Darm's return, something has changed in the relationship between the two men. There seems to be a private knowledge between the two. Many assume that the two bachelors have become intimate.
