Gabriel Lugallo

Gabriel Lugallo is the innkeeper of Mistmoor Castle, opening an inn which he named Delmars "after an old friend". He is initially from Darmshall, and few in that keep can remember a day without the roaring laughter of Lugallo.

Personal history

He moved to Darmshall as a young man in DR 1358 The Year of Shadows with his infant daughter Jadale. There, he bought the local inn and renamed it the Stumbling Giant. Throughout the next decade he built a reputation as a firm friend and solid citizen. While he claims to only be an innkeeper, his skill with his bastard sword Dralegon was displayed many times in the defense of his new home.
When Jadale entered her teens, she joined the town guard. Gabriel drilled with her in the bailey, teaching her more about swordsmanship than she could ever learn from the local defenders. He is very proud of the promotions she has received, finally becoming the youngest Captain of the Inner Bailey.
As the innkeeper of the Stumbling Giant, Gabriel interacted with the new adventuring group, the Lancebearers, often as Kraig Karridian, Gellor Shadow-Stalker, Garath "Mistmaster" Blackhand, and others used Darmshall as a base to tame the wilds of Vaasa. When the party disappeared, leaving the Mistmaster to complete Mistmoor Castle, he offered Lugallo the chance to oversee the outer bailey. With Jadale firmly ensconced at Darmshall, Gabriel left with the mysterious mage.
While passing as the barkeep for Delmars, Gabriel actually has a larger role at Mistmoor. He is in charge of the Outer Bailey, creating duty rosters and acting as the castle's quartermaster. He also runs the docks, where he interacts with the Vaasan riverfolk.
Gabriel is also the lead on trying to build a settlement on the north bank. So far most attempts have failed due to the frequent monster raids, but building has now started on stronger walls, and the thinking right now is surrounding the walls with a sharpened-stake palisade similar to Palischuk's defensive barrier.
If the settlement ever becomes a reality, it is likely that Mistmaster would appoint Lugallo as mayor of the new village of Mistmoor.
